This seemed like the iconic English Church/Chapel. It was filled with history and wonderful architecture and of course there were the windows. How did they pack such goodies in such a small place?

Very old building. Linked to next-door attractions. We didn't have tickets so couldn't get in there. The time-line at the entrance was very helpful in explaining the history of this place

Just across the street from Shakespeare's New Place sits the Guild Chapel. It's original artwork on the walls makes it worth the visit.

Tucked away next to Shakespeare's boyhood school and across the street from where Shakespeare spent his final days is this little chapel. Built in 1200's this was a place of worship and socializing. Take 10 minutes to stop in and look around. You will see...More

Lovely little chapel with an intriguing history. You must pop in here and take a look around as it is a little gem. All of the up keep is done by donations so if you can help out then please do.

This very old church contains lovely murals which were painted over but have now been uncovered. They are, however, very faint but nevertheless they let you see what once decorated the walls hundreds of years ago. In fact we have to blame Shakespeare's father for...More

We visited the Guild Chapel as a part of the Stratford town guided walk. This is said to be a place were the very young William Shakespeare would have received his religious education. Only stayed briefly but this place has impressive architecture.

Definitely worth a visit. The original 16th century wall paintings are fascinating and there are more being exposed as funding is being raised. Saw a great concert there too. Duo Piccolo e Grande played Italian baroque sonatas. Lovely experience

A gem of a church, right in the centre of Stratford, but not visited by the majority of tourists. A small group of us had a conducted tour given by two excellent and enthusiastic volunteer guides. As well as being a beautiful church architecturally, with...More
