Musicals you may ponder? Les Miserables and Matilda started their life here so not all Shakespeare. Present plan is that Shakespeare's Canon is played in Main House over 10 years and now half way through whilst the Swan hosts both new and older plays. If...More

We went to see the Royal Shakespeare Company perform Coriolanus at this theatre. Its a nice theatre which is similar in style to Londons' Globe Theatre except this one is covered.

My wife and I enjoyed our first wedding anniversary watching Coriolanus, at the Royal Shakespeare Company. What a fantastic theatre, comfortable seats and unobstructed views of the stage. The bars were not too expensive, and had a good selection of alcohol. The view from the...More

First-time visit, we are not normally theatergoers, was a little worried by seat pricing with huge differences. We opted for cheap seats and they were perfectly adequate, no need to have worried at all. I had a steel strut in front of me I can't...More

Any theatre can give a good performance however only a few can give you a stunning experience. The RSC fits neatly into the latter category. With a wonderful ambience and super friendly staff our visit was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and we left...More

Having now seen Titus Andronicus and Coriolanus, I can definitely say that this is world class theatre. The acting and staging are excellent, while the shape of the theatre makes everything feel very intimate. Otherwise, the theatre has a lovely bar, a tower with excellent...More

Incredible location to watch a play, very good bars and restaurants attached to the location. The restaurant on the 3rd floor has a great view of the town.

Production - Absolutely brilliant. We knew nothing of the story apart from the summary on the RSC site but followed it easily. The performances were fantastic, the fight scenes were really exciting. I found the modern costumes really helpful - if they'd all been wearing...More

There is also a car park by the side of the Premier Inn Waterways by the side of the canal. As long as children supervised you can walk along tow path to RSC, about 15 mins walk.

In the main theatre, they do tip up, but the spring is not so strong that it will tip you up too! The seats are more comfortable and a bit more roomy than the Swan.
