We saw Cicero over 3 nights . Fantastic performances. How the actors who were the same over two nights and 3 hours per night remembered their lines faultlessly is awe inspiring. A tour de force .

What a great place to see your favourite plays. The stage thrusts out into the auditorium giving the actors scope to interact with the audience. Beware of the seating. The galleries are arranged in such a way that if you are small there is very...More

Visited "The play's the thing" exhibition prior to watching Twelfth Night in the main RSC theatre. Great interactive exhibition with plenty to entertain all ages from youngsters to grandparents. Don't be put off by the fact it's upstairs as there is a lift. Some fascinating...More

We were so fortunate to see both parts one and two, each 3 hours long, of the play about Cicero, called Imperium. Both performances were excellent, acted with skill and enthusiasm and all the actors were clearly spoken and easy to understand, quite a change...More

This wonderful theatre has an intimacy that puts it well above most others. It’s not large and at ground level the audience is really involved with the action. The nearby bar is cosy. It’s usually full so pre-booking is a prerequisite. No nearby parking so...More

Visited The Swan Theatre at Stratford for the first time in many years and saw fabulous RSC production. The Swan is a medium sized theatre, with wooden pillars and balconies (presumably to add period atmosphere) and a flat stage area that comes well out in...More

Recently watched Imperium parts one and two. It was a fabulous production set in the beautiful Swan theatre. Theatre set over 3 tiers and can vouch for the upper level. Seats are a little tight if you are in the front row of the level...More

The RSC shop is excellent and we had a great time browsing and buying. Saw Imperium Part II: Dictator in the Swan Theatre which was excellent, and good value for money. We were in Gallery 2 - the top floor - and the view was...More

The Swan Theatre is an excellent auditorium with reasonably comfortable seating and three and a half hours passed quickly as we watched a production of pure spellbinding genius. 'Imperium 1' consists of three separate yet interconnected plays following Cicero's rise and fall as Consul of...More
