One of the very well maintain medieval wood buildings in Warwick located right on the Warwick gate, surviving from the 15th century. This a nice place with interesting history. The Brethren’s Kitchen is open for morning coffee, afternoon tea and homemade light lunches.

After years of meaning to visit the Lord Leycester Hospital we finally did, and loved it. So will anyone with a keen interest in history and architecture. It encompasses the Guilds, Elizabeth 1, Shakespeare and James 1st, to name but a few. I never knew of the resident 'Brethren' who are similar to the Chelsea pensioners, but predate them considerably.... More

The great thing about this old (14th century with 12th century chapel) building is that people live in it, and these self-same people welcome and guide you around it. Yes it is very old, but it is still alive and not a museum. Fascinating though the building is, our experience of it would have been nowhere near as enjoyable if... More

Home to 8 ex-servicemen (known as Bretheren), and their wives, visitiors can learn about the colourful history of this ancient building by talking to the residents who happily welcome tourists from Tuesday to Sunday. It is now well worth strolling past after dark as new floodlighting has recently been installed and the ancient building looks magical yet somewhat spooky as... More

My wife wanted to go as she had seen it on television, we stumbled across it by accident and my wife was delighted. It's not a big place and doesn't take long to get around but it was really interesting. The gardens would have been lovely in a couple of months as they are set out beautifully. The museum is... It is a must-see. The guy on the door showed us around and was brilliant. Old, ex soldier but such a great, friendly guy. You don't meet many of them so go just for him.

Me and my girlfriend visited around a week ago. We were due to visit the castle, however it was far too expensive, so we decided to visit Lord Leycester Hospital. The staff were very friendly and always asked if we were okay. The buildings were beautiful and the gardens were stunning (despite it being Winter). I'm just glad we decided... More

The Lord Leycester Hospital is a really fascinating place! We really enjoyed the short tour, learning about its long history. We also stopped in the café for a cream tea, which was a lovely surprise as it was so delicious! Some of the best scones ever! And, if you're lucky enough to go in warmer weather, the gardens are really... More

Some wonderful buildings and history here. Beautiful gardens as well. There is a cafe here as but was closed when we visited in Jan 2017 - would have enjoyed a cuppa here soaking in the atmosphere.

A beautiful building housing some real gentlemen. Warwick is very lucky to have such a well maintained historic building. We should all support our history!
