Housed in a Jacobean mansion, St John's Museum showcases the social history collections. Galleries include a Victorian Kitchen and Schoolroom (used by local school children during term time for activities and learning sessions), displays on childhood, toys and games, costume and an under 5s discovery room. St John's also has lovely formal gardens where you can sit and enjoy a picnic. On the first floor of the house is The Royal Warwickshire Regiment of Fusiliers Museum

Short walk from the Castle

For those with young children this is an interesting place. It will entertain the children aged 6 to 13 quite easily. And as its an 8 min walk from the castle its worth it.

Interesting museum as regards the ways of old schools and toys. Bit of fashion too and an old kitchen set up at the back

A beautiful building housing a social history of the area downstairs, though some of the exhibits could be better labelled. It is interesting and gives an insight in the past. Upstairs is a more comprehensive exhibition of the Warwickshire 6th Foot Regiment, not my cup of tea, but obviously a passion of the curator. Fascinating if you werer part of... More

We had a brilliant evening playing all sorts of games at night in the museum. A beautiful building with super super friendly staff. A great mix of games and fun for the whole family and grown ups too!

It is worth going to see this little museum in Warwick. It gives a flavour of life in Warwick in the last century. The old school room was interesting and the Warwick regiment museum upstairs which is housed temporarily in St Johns house is worth seeing. Children would like this museum as they can dress up in military uniforms old... More

Lovely building.and grounds. Staff were polite and friendly and the exhibitions were interesting. However despite it being early September and 20c outside the heating was on which made it uncomfortable to stay in for long.

Thanks for your review. Glad to hear you had a good time and enjoyed our collections. We have recently had some work done on our heating system so maybe on the day you visited they were testing the boilers as the heating is not on during the summer months. Hope you visit again soon. More

An interesting place to visit if you can find time in the town. It gives an insight into life in the town over many years.

It was a nice place to visit for an hour, its free but donations are welcome. It's got some good things to look at and do, the building its self is beautiful from the outside! Its not far from the St Nicolas car park. The Military Museum upstairs is worth visiting, I loved reading the stories with the medals, but... More
