I only had 45min but I really wish I had a couple of hours, so only visited the gallery on the history of Birmingham. The building itself is old& beautiful! But inside there are all the modern mod coms. Lifts, cafe, baby changing facilities, interactive displays and a little section specially for children, the little museum, with a playarea. Lots... Fourth time I have visited this museum. So much to see and a good mix. Great place just to wander. Fab tea room with great soup. Also good gift shop with extensive range. The museum covers life in Birmingham very well. Interesting for all ages

This art gallery is fantastic - even better than the Tate - and the Victorian architecture is wonderful too. The museum upstairs about the history of Birmingham is also very interesting. And it's free. I was there two and half hours and had a wonderful time. I will recommend it to everyone. The only thing I didn't like was the... More

We visited with a family of 10 ranging from 7 to 77 years old and there was plenty to keep everyone engaged and happy for several hours. The Staffordshire Hoard is definitely on my must-see list if you are ever visiting the city.

Spent an afternoon in here with my son. Helpful staff and a good museum. Well thought out displays and my 5 year old enjoyed the ancient Egypt room.

I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it when we did the same thing in Glasgow. As a plus, I get extra credits on... More
