Not sure about the art, I didn't really get it but went here for a work networking event. It was literally the hottest venue, most of us left early. No air con. Seemed a small venue too, couldn't imagine paying to view the art there....More

I was delighted to attend the wonderful Dan Flavin exhibition. Incredible use of such a beautiful and historic building, and staff knowledge of it's local importance certainly enhances its appeal. I have returned on many occasions. Do stop in the gift shop for the brilliant...More

I like this gallery a lot, its nice and quiet and off the busy beaten track, it usually showcases some local art and they sometimes have small film showcases made by local artists that you can sit and watch.

I have not visited Ikon Gallery for a long time, but hope the place hasn't changed! Really like liked it the last time I was there and would happily go again.

Ikon is a beautiful architectural space just out of the centre. On several floors -it's full of light. However, the exhibits on when i went were uninspiring- watching a black and white film of sea horses giving birht isn't for me !!

A nice art gallery but nothing spectacular. The exhibitions were lacklustre and felt more education focused rather than contemporary art. Nonetheless the gallery is situated in a beautiful building and makes for a nice day out

This is a centrally located, really cutting-edge gallery. Probably not for you if you're a traditionalist! The art here is also thought-provoking and the perfect level of challenging. In a beautiful building. If you visit - get in the elevator! You won't regret it!
