As a piece of modern architecture it is interesting but at the same time it is very unappealing. Just walking past the entrance gives the impression of a building rather neglected and badly in need of some renovation. I didn't see inside because of security doors. I understand that it is possible to rent apartments in the tower, but not... More

I stayed at the Rotunda between 21-23 December and was so so taken by the small attention to detail at these Aparthotels. I stayed in a Clubman based on the 18th floor. From start to end it was such a pleasant stay. I travelled from Manchester for 2 day getaway to catch up with friends and was not devastated at... More

Overtime we come to Birmingham we stay in the penthouse of the Rotunda. We love the location for the shops, restaurants and the overall positioning in the city I appreciate there are negative comments to the layout and provisions provided by the Urban Splash group. I can honestly say that very few other self catering apartments provide a great deal... More

As many other places in Birmingham, they feel secluded and not that interesting even though the actual building can be nice to look at.

Location is excellent. Apartments are contemporary design but sadly looking very dated. The one I stayed in had marks on walls, chips in surfaces (kitchen and bathroom), discolouring of grout in bathrooms, missing tiles in bathroom. .. Broken shelf edge in fridge....Hand soap, shampoo & conditioner provided but no shower gel. Hair dryer looked grubby - plastic coating was worn,... More

Stayed in a Maxi and it was great. Very clean and had all you needed in it. A home from home but with a ridiculous view of Birmingham, amazing!!! Pretty scary when you open the sliding door all the way...right beside shops and restaurants and pubs etc.....all walking distance and right beside the train station. Very staff and easy check... This is just an example of modern architecture, built in teriibly wrong place. It is not open for public, you can use the staircase to get to the open market, it's disgustingly dirty and smelly. Just try to avoid this place if possible.

We stayed at the rotunda during the christmas market and we had such an incredible time! The apartment had everything you could possibly need and more and it was so clean on arrival! Lovely staff and the views of birmingham were out of this world! Would highly recommend staying at the Rotunda😃

When I first saw this building in the late 1960s, I was impressed by its unique and innovative design, and as the years went by I always considered it to be the iconic feature of the Birmingham skyline. I must admit however that I didn't expect it to last this long. Over the past few years the city centre has... More

The Rotunda in Birmingham is a hotel/service apartment near the Bullring. Here it is listed as an architectural site so I'll review it as so. (It probably is listed seperately as a hotel. Since I haven't stayed there I will not review it as a hotel) The building is a circular cross section glass covered modern building. It is ok... More
