Love this hidden gem! Unspoiled and fabulous. Always have a great time. Little tip, the reclining seats at the front are far better (and cheaper) than the sofas at the back!

Me & my partner have always been fond of independent cinemas and I've eagerly been waiting for a visit to Electric after moving down south. We decided to go all out and catch a sofa seat and didn't realise it comes with bar service!! Drinks...More

The cinema is delightful from the minute you walk in and see the teeny old box office and get your sweet old fashioned tickets. It is absolutely worth paying extra for the sofas or the armchairs with footstools. I am doubtful as to whether they...More

It's so great being able to sit how you would at home and watch a film with all of the bonuses of a cinema. They have got it so right! The menu was ideal. Wine/beer and nibbles or a cup of tea and delicious cake.

We loved this place. Though the visual & audio quality is very good, as the UK's oldest working cinema the rest of The Electric has a much more vintage feel to it. The lobby is tiny and it's only a few steps from the main...More

This is the UK's oldest working cinema. It was divided into two screens a few years ago and is privately owned by a film enthusiast. The Electric never ceases to amaze. In addition to showing current releases, it often has single showings of great films...More

Wanted to go to the cinema with a friend but couldn't face a roomful of noisy popcorn chompers. Thought we'd give this a try. Costs a little more but well worth it. We will be back. A lovely experience.

Ive been to the cinema 3 times now and it's great. The staff are friendly and personable. The cinema intimate and different. They show great films, from current blockbusters to cult films and independents. The last film I saw there was star wars. I would...More

There is an NCP car park 3 mins walk from the cinema opposite the Victoria pub. The cinema will verify your ticket and reduce the fee to £3 for up to 5 hours.
