Very nice centre conveniently located above New Street station with a nice range of shops and places to eat and drink but it seems to be struggling with quite a few empty shops. The toilets need serious attention as they were very dirty and in an awful state.

Flowing straight from New Street station is grand central. Great choice of eateries in a clean open space. Many overlook Ozzy the bull.

Grand Central is a shopping centre above Birmingham New Street station. It is also connected to the Bull Ring shopping centre.

It has a GIGANTIC food court where you can get a wide variety of different food to eat there or take with you on your journey.

There are also a number of stores you can visit if you want to do some shopping too. It's a good place to visit when you are in the area.

Good station still but slowly going backwards. As time goes the shops leave and the new station goes down hill. Great central location and hub

I was taking my uncle to London for a hospital appointment. He has essential tremors so is unable to book tickets online and struggles physically so this could have been a challenge.

As it was staff were helpful at gates but above all JONATHAN in the ticket sales office was superb.

As we walked in there were four staff. One left as we queued despite a big queue. The three staff were fully occupied and the queue hardly moved. My uncle was struggling and getting agitated. There were staff in the background milling around but none of them helped get the queue down.

Jonathan was closing but my uncle was oblivious to this. Jonathan noted he was struggling and had essential tremors as he approached almost throwing his railcard and bank card as a result of the shakes and anxiety as he feared he was going to miss the next train.

Jonathan realised he was struggling and was very patient. Quickly identified the most economical and appropriate operator and relevant restrictions. My uncle was very relieved and we made our train.

I was impressed and said I would look to recognise his exemplary conduct as he had gone above and beyond. He wished us well and said there was no need.

However in the absence of any feedback link I can find Trip Advisor is the only means I can recognise Jonathan’s exceptional customer service . I would be grateful if his management can recognise his conduct. This was 2-28pm on Wednesday 11 th January we were served.

Having travelled to Birmingham by train we decided to have a good look around Grand Central after we returned from the Christmas market and shopping in the Bullring. We decided to eat at Mrs Chews Chinese Kitchen, which was lovely. The vegetable boa buns were perfect, my fiancee's vegetable fried noodles were very nice and my spinach noodles with fried tofu and mushrooms was lovely.

Having eaten and shopped, we decided to use the rest rooms before we left, and this is where my experience left much to be desired. There was dried blood on the cubicle walls and door, feaces on the toilet roll dispenser, urine and toilet paper on the floor and graffiti on almost every flat surface.

This visit to Birmingham would have been a very good one if it wasn't for the final memory of the day being that awful cubicle.

Next to Birmingham new street station. Very busy due to the commonwealth games. Plenty of staff around and great shopping experience.
