I visited the Herbert Art gallery and Museum specifically to view the 20th century paintings. I was very surprised at the wealth of painting and sculpture on show, including notable British artists such as Barbara Hepworth, L.S.Lowry, Jacob Epstein and Stanley Spencer. However, the real...More

Had 2hr. quick visit. What a gem this City has. Disable friendly and activity tables for children to colour and doodle paint. Lifts and accessibility to everywhere in the building. Brilliant Art Gallery.

This is a lovely little gallery which features various installations as well as some permanent exhibits. We came to see the viking exhibition which was well laid out and had plenty of hands on features for small children.

With the gallery on our left, we took the second right turn and at the end of that road is an open air car park. 5 - 6 minutes walk back to the gallery.
