Came to visit an exhibition in Coventry and decided to come to the Cathedral. After viewing the old Cathedral we went to go into the new one only to see an admission price unless you were going into a service of £6 per adult. I went in to say that I thought this was wrong and was dealt with by... More

My wife and I have never visited Coventry before and were amazed by the spectacular buildings in the city centre. We were born in the 1940s, so are aware that the city was battered in the blitz, but the new cathedral has risen like a phoenix from the ashes. It is the first modern cathedral that we have visited and... More

Was showing an old friend round Coventry and we decided to do the cathedral tour. Kevin, our guide, was absolutely amazing and even though we were all atheists and not very arty, he made the tour truly memorable, and left us all with a far better understanding of the design and artwork than we would have had. The Cathedral is... More

It is not too far from the new Cathedral. Lovely & Lively area with pubs, restaurants and shops, interesting history. Read up before you go. Free to walk around. A visual reminder of the blitz. Beautiful as a ruin, and pretty at night with lighting too. You can usually climb the bell tower for a small fee.

Always visit when we are in Coventry, beautiful building, have always loved it, from when it was first built and my school collected money to help pay for windows.

Must have been a lovely building, sad , and interesting, new cathedral is quite a contrast, short walk from there to centre to see Lady Godiva moving clock.
