Celebrated as the UK's favourite 20th century building, Coventry Cathedral is known all over the world as a beautiful and unique venue. Designed by architect Sir Basil Spence following the bombing of the city in 1940 it was opened in 1962, and contains some of the finest examples of 1950's and 60's art and architecture in the country.

I visited the cathedral - the one with no roof on which was bombed during the second world war by Adolf Hitler. I felt a bit claustrophobic in there to be honest. Would be nice to have say some water features and plants and flowers...More

A stunning reminder of what happened to Coventry during the war and a beautiful space to soak up, some great features still inside like the copper tomb in the corner and within sight of the new Cathedral.

Went to a Christmas Carol Service at the cathedral. It was worth the visit as I had never been before, would liketo go back and have another look and try and get upon to the viewing platform which I think would be wonderful
