Plenty for children either having an adventure in a childs imagination or playing on the well equipped children,s area to just simply running around. there is plenty to please everyone young or old. tennis courts bowling greens and loads of free space to simply wander. seating all around the park, and a lovely tea room for refreshments.

Good place to walk dog, where dogs can run free in large areas. There are 2 cafe's, several tennis courts and football fields. Also good children's play area including sand. Of course memorials for our brave soldiers.

I go here regularly with my two children and our dog. Lovely wide open spaces, great play areas for the kids, activities and special events take place throughout the year, especially during school holidays.

Took the Grandkids who loved the play area & we loved the safe massive areas for them to run about plus the nice cafe for Tea & Cake. It's is hugely popular with well behaved dog walkers too. Can't believe how big the place is so close to the City centre.

We had a family walk around this lovely park during a Christmas visit to our daughter and family and were very surprised how big it was. There were lots of people wandering around- some jogging, others dog walking and some like us- pushing a pram. There's some interesting sections of the park to see- the obvious war memorial itself, the... More

Wonderful place to walk, run, think, watch the changing colours of the beautiful trees, the squirrels and just enjoy the open spaces. Also appreciate why it's here, to commemorate brave people doing a horrible job

Great place to run and to go to play with your children. The only bad thing is that the toilets are closed so early even doe there are people running and walking dogs till late. They could put some chemical ones i the parking area.

A really nice park, lived in the area all my life and never visited it. Went for an autumn walk, took us about 45 minutes to walk all around the park, walking ideal fully tarmacked and suitable for cycling, young children in buggy’s. A children’s play area with Golf and tennis facilities are available. If the weather is windy would... More

Walk here every day and see something new: display or just the leaves changing colour. Mostly very responsible dog owners, but cyclists can go a bit fast on the footpaths so keep watch
