Good way to spend the day

Had a great day even though weather wasn't great. Cafe was also nice. Boat safari was interesting and informative.

Arundel WWT is well kept with a good variety of local wildfowl and garden birds. The wetlands are varied and the walk through the reedbed on the decked platform is lovely. I took my new camera lens along to try it out and got some really good shots of the local wildlife. The 'grommitesque' decorated ducks are a nice touch... More

Welcoming, friendly and informative - the front desk. The wetlands - those that are natural are great; but too many introduced species are distracting, although maybe good for youngsters. You could easily spend a couple of hours here. And as well the nearby castle looked great as did the small town centre.

My husband and I decided to stay the weekend in Arundel but, due to my being heavily pregnant, some of the things on offer were not practical so we decided to go to the Wetland Centre for the morning. It was a nice enough day, a bit rainy at times but this did not spoil it. Gorgeous surroundings and LOADS... More

Arundel Wetland Centre is a good place to see a variety of wildfowl. On a previous occasion I've seen water voles, but not this time. One very eager goose pecked at our legs, and the highlight was seeing a Kingfisher! The cafe has good views over a small lake with waterbirds. I visited with my adult son and we both... More

Arrived on a 'sunshine & heavy showers' sort of day. The showers weren't too troublesome as we went prepared, and when it was at its worst we sat in a hide and watched tits, chaffinches, robins, partridges and more. We were with a group of 16 and arranged to meet back at the visitor's centre at a certain time, so... More

Well planned, informative and lots of birdlife. If you are there around 4pm this is feeding time. Very wheelchair friendly with good access to enclosures.

Thanks for your positive review - glad you found our site to be wheelchair friendly, we have tarmaced the pathways and have a lip on the reedbed boardwalks to prevent wheels slipping off the side. Did you know our boat safari is accessible in a non-motorized wheelchairs? We have non-motorized wheelchairs to borrow in the visitor centre if visitors need... More

Been here before when they had lego which was fantastic so it was great for our 7 year old but he actually asked if he could go back even though he knew the lego had now gone but he really enjoyed finding all the ducks and entering the competition. Food good but prices on the high side but if it... More

We are glad to hear your son wanted to come back and find all of our Celebrity Dusty Ducks in February. Good news if he is still a LEGO fan - the giant LEGO Brick Animal Trail is coming back to Arundel in Dec 2017 with a few new additions! More

I visited in the Feb half term with my 2 children, age 5 and 2. It was our first visit and we were mainly drawn by the 'puddle jumping championships' they were running. There were 2 half hour competition sessions, so I naively imagined the children could jump to their hearts content for half an hour at a time whilst... More

On February18-26 of the West Sussex half term we held our second annual Puddle Jumping Championship. Children were given the chance to compete by doing their most spectacular jump in our ‘official’ puddle where each were awarded points out of 100 for splash height, style and enthusiasm. The event was included in the general admission cost and each child received... More

Packed full of interest for different types of visitor, from families with small children to serious birdwatchers and ecologists. For me, special thanks for the boat trip, the walk through the reedbeds and the Reed Chamber (a Chris Drury artwork), the excellent Hides for birdwatching, the room with all the dried flowers and leaves hanging up, and of course the...
