As good as Highgate Cemetery. Amazing architecture!

This is a place to let you see how the wealthy industrialists honoured the passing of their loved ones. The tombs and memorials are incredibly varied and impressive. Unique!

A very sad but beautiful place to visit some amazing examples of architecture and some of the memorials were enormous. If you're a graveyard enthusiast then this is a must see although it's not for everyone. I personally found it very beautiful

History sitting there waiting to be read and so full of interest. We saw how the families intermarried and who was successful in amassing wealth, providing work for locals and making Bradford the great place of industry into which it grew, much based on the wool trade and the finance necessary for that trade. The sheer quality of the memorials,... More

Undercliffe Cemetery is a beautiful, peaceful and scenic area, rich in wildlife, trees, flowering shrubs, bulbs and wild flowers. It is so attractive to see all year round, but spring is certainly something special! The older and more prestigious graves have wonderful stone and marble monuments, celebrating the life and death of the rich and famous of Bradford from the... More

You need some background information (from internet) or you need to go with a guide. Either way, this is a definite "must see" to appreciate the story of life and death of rich Victorian families. From triumph to tragedy, from pride to humility you'll find it all spelt out on the headstones and in the extravagant architecture. And it's so... More
