I wish Bradford council would make this area a development zone

This area has so much potential with historic buildings, narrow streets and now next to the Broadway centre. Its a gem that needs to be developed. There are some nice buildings and galleries, but its also filled with taty offices and low cost housing. It could be far more. The only downside is its steep streets, but I think that... More

An elegant collection of 19th century offices built by rich German businessmen at the height of the city's textile fortunes. All looks a bit tired now

We spent half a day wandering around the streets of Little Germany, taking photographs of buildings, streets, alleys an architecture in general. This is a fabulous find! It also has the advantage of being small enough to explore easily on foot. It's a place I definitely want to go back to.

Well, I have spent more than a week in Bradford on business and I've got to see various parts of Bradford. The city has been getting a lot of investment in urban planning, community centers etc. and is far from the "immigrants ghetto" that people used to portray a few years ago. Little Germany is a neighbourhood that I was... More

Little Germany contains some spectacular pieces of Victorian architecture tat survived the desire of corrupt councils to destroy the City;s heritage. if the local authority put half the effort into reviving the area that it put into a another new shopping centre, Little Germany could be a centre of business but for now enjoy the stone buildings with a Mittleuropa... I live in one of the apartments in Little Germany, and I love it here. I feel like a lot of money needs to be injected into the area, most of the buildings aren't in use but they're amazing to look at. The clock and chair statue is great, gives a taste of the history here. My dog seems to... More

Personally, I think the history is better than the reality. If this was located in a major city, then it could be fabulous, but in Bradford, it is grubby and unkept. Some interesting architecture, but was definitely underwhelming, having previously read about the history. Come on Bradford - this is a missed opportunity.

This used to be the centre of trade in Bradford. Today it's apartments and offices, but the buildings are wonderful. A must-see if you're in the area.

Little Germany must once have been a very thriving area in the city, shame that most of the buildings aren't being used. I love the buildings and especially the sofa and clock monument, it's lovely. Hopefully as Bradford rejuvenates so does little Germany.
