Amazing venue, great staff, and such an incredible line up of beers. They've got a very extensive drinks menu with around 50 gins and cocktails in too if that's your thing. Well worth a visit!

Hello, Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that you highly rate our venue, members of staff and the selection of drinks we have to offer Leeds. If you haven't visited since our refurbishment, we now have a wonderful range of stone baked pizzas that are available throughout the week from 12noon. We hope to see you again soon

Dropped in here after a hospital visit to see my wife and was a first time stop.

Caught my eye as I know the Salt beer range well and go to the Salt Brewery In Saltaire on a regular basis.

Fabulous decor and a wide range of beers to suit all tastes.
If you can’t see anything you like in here stop drinking.

Loads of new ranges to sample and the old favourites. Salt beers, Ossett Brewery beers and Fernandes brewery beers all good and worth a try.

Staff were very attentive and had a good knowledge of the beers on offer.
Both Lewis and Ellis enjoyed the job and the place was spotless....well done.....

Deffo going back when my wife’s health improves and have already pointed my family in that direction.

Well done Salt it’s a gem 😎

Only down side no snacks but the changes are a ringing as an upgrade is going to see a pizza oven installed. Mmmm
Beer and pizza a real winner!!!

This is a great place, beers and cocktails were great. The atmosphere was really good too and we had hilarious banter with the security guy. We will definitely be back.

We have visited a few times now and really good bar with good atmosphere away from all the noise of the next street (Greek Street) comfy seats, good beer and great gin selection at reasonable prices.

My boyfriend and I visited Craft Asylum #2 on a whim whilst walking past looking for another bar. As someone with a real passion for craft beers I was really surprised I had never heard of this place, or the brewery, Salt Beer Factory in Saltaire! The space itself is incredibly smart and stylish, with a lovely light up sign on the wall (good for pictures) and music that suited the atmosphere of the bar.

There is a wide variety of craft beers, each with a sign indicating the brewery, type of beer, price, percentage and serving - although you can have any beer served in any volume. There were also craft beers in cans and an extensive gin and wine menu to cater for all.

There was an interesting array of snacks, including olives which I'd never seen at a bar before. Additionally there was free popcorn served from a popcorn machine! The toilets were incredibly smart, although they were down some stairs. There may have been disabled toilets somewhere on the top floor but I'm not 100% sure.

We were served by the lovely Izzy, who was kind enough to put up with our drunken chatter. We left in a hurry meaning we forgot our bag, but the manager Lewis went out of his way to find my name on my bank card and message me on Facebook to let me know they had our stuff. Thank you so much!

My only criticism is more advertising!

Really great trendy place to meet mates and sample lots of different beers (on tap or from the barrel) and also do a wide range of gins. Highly recommended.

Great place not to be missed

Having been to the amazing salt beer factory in Saltaire owned by this small brewery found this, its a lively bar in a livery area with music and trendy as we visited on a Saturday night, mixed aged.
The jute lager is to die for brewed in the factory its the best pint ever tasted and ive had a few lol it makes normal lager seem tasteless. They have number 2 Asylum bar in Leeds which is a must try for me.

Great beers from Salt Beer Factory and a brilliant array of both guest taps and cans. Plenty of gin to keep the Mrs happy as well :)
