The royal armouries never disappoints, I took a friend who had never been before and they were suitably impressed with the attention to detail and information displayed. Great for kids and the jousting tournaments are so fun to watch.

Despite having been open for a number of years, the Royal Armouries is one of those places I have wanted to visit but never got around to going to. This was remedied a couple of days ago and the wait was worth it. A steady...More

We keep coming back here as there is so much to see and so well done! I'm not really into miltaria but I'm never disappointed. Will definitely be back next summer to see the jousting.

Traveled to Leeds especially for the museum and was impressed, free admission although donations are welcomed huge displays of armour and weapons from different countries and over many different years. Small cafe and a separate picnic area, the gift shop was very over priced. A...More

The museum is very interesting. It demonstrates military stuff from various eras, live performance of warriors dressed in armoury which contains some theatrical parts(like a monologue). Nice souvenir shop as well

Very infomative, I wasn't keen on the fact that the whole building is new as it takes some of the history away. However, I found it very interesting and easily passed a few hours away.

Educational, eye catching, interesting, well kitted out museum. Restaurant was a bit of a disappointment (over priced average food), but otherwise good.

Wondered what would be the best way to get to the museum from the train station? My son is only 4 and as we haven't been before so don't want to be wandering around getting lost. Would a taxi be best?

Hello Danielle, as previous answer the we highly recommend the free water taxi behind the station. As long as the river isn't too high they run every 10-15 minutes. When they are running they have a big yellow flag at the... More
