Gorilla gorilla

There is a little going on here to see but I like the gorilla statue located outside and the exhibition on was very bizarre and weird.

I was very pleased with the exhibition, if I have a critism it is that there wasn't a lot to see but I suspect that was because the art gallery next door was closed and you would usually walk on into that area and see a lot more stuff. There were a number of models of full size scuptures that... More

I always call in here, whenever I am in Leeds. More often than not, the art on show is rather pretentious, but to be fair, I enjoyed the current exhibition as it made me smile!

I was expecting more tbh. I love sculpture, and Moore, but didn't see any. Maybe I was expecting too much?? I'm not sure if some of it is closed at the moment. We went to the prosthetics exhibition which is interesting but more at home in the Thackray Medical Museum than here. We asked what was upstairs and was told... More

Visited after hearing a rave review of this exhibition on radio four. Greeted at the door by a smiley chap who didn't seem too worried that there were five children in our party, pointed us in the right direction. As other reviews have said there was rather a hushed atmosphere. I was disappointed by the exhibits. Our family are regular... More

Disappointed felt like being back at school, silent atmosphere, no interaction from staff, some of the displays were fascinating though, only took 15 minutes to complete & that was with reading all the display information!!!!!

We loved this, and we loved it even more when a knowledgable and helpful member of staff helped us to interpret the installations. A square metre of infinity was so much more understandable. Found the exhibits stimulating and thought provoking, something to think about.

We have visited both the Yorkshire sculpture park and the Hepworth gallery - this was the missing part of the Trio. To be honest we were disappointed - we were not sure if we were at the entrance when we arrived and once inside found that the scale of the building did not provide any opportunity to see any of... recently visited sunday 14th feb only to find it effectively closed, its open to the public but there is only one piece of exhibit on display and this is a section of a railway platform. All the other Galleries are connected to the Art Museum but as the Art Museum is being refurbished there is little to see. I would... More

from the off we felt unwelcome and got no real assistance. Call me ignorant and I would happily accept this rather than agree that some pieces of paper and a reel of film in a glass cabinet is art. It's not art in my eyes. Oh but wait, a mock up of a train station, with some lights and an... More
