Cycle in the pouring rain

Great trail in any conditions. Plenty to look at along the way. Will be riding further when it isn't so cold.

did this walk from the official start by Woodhouse Moor up to Golden Acre Park. It should have been 7 miles but a helpful group sent me the wrong way in an unsigned section which meant, having retraced my steps, it was nearer to 9! Don`t get me wrong - there are lots of signage and information boards but not... More

Great walk with my nephew after the rains, the streams were running wild, good for dogs, short or a long walk can be made, cafe in the park after your walk.

The Meanwood Valley Trail is a designated trail running from Woodhouse Moor in Leeds (near Leeds University's Parkinson Building (the white tower) to Golden Acre Park. It is approx 7 miles long. It follows RoW footpaths (so NO bikes) through urban areas, parkland, woodland and some sections adjacent road. The walking is generally good, although the route through Adel Woods... More

Great trail run. Can run from Meanwood into the dales running anywhere from 5 to 20 k along good paths in really gorgeous woodland. Brilliant!

I love Meanwood park in all seasons, it's perfect for family days out, dog walking, picnics, jogging, bike rides or just somewhere to relax. My mum and dad took us there when we were young, I took my children and grandchildren and hopefully it will be there for many more future generations

I live around the corner and usually walk along the trail a few times a week. It's well maintained and there's no litter. Lovely walk.

A huge variation of different areas are hidden into this park, with rivers and streams and a deeper wooded area called the Hollies accessible from here (which has tennis courts free to play). Mystical wooded areas to chill out in.

I love Meanwood Valley trail. It's not as busy as Golden Acre or Roundhay so it's a far more relaxing walk. You can make it as long or as short as you like and the park is lovely for kids.

The Meanwood valley trail starts near hyde park in leeds, near Leeds university and ends in golden acre park, outside the city. I have almost completed the whole trail over a period of weeks. I missed a few bits and got lost several times. It is not one trail but several parallel paths, all belonging to one overall trail. I... More
