An elegant Victorian Gothic arcade sloping downhill with lots of interesting little independent shops. At the top is the Robin Hood mechanical clock. On the hour it moves, with one of the lifesize characters clanging the bell.

Quite narrow and not particulary interesting but neither bad. There are some interesting shops but the best are elsewhere. I prefer the Victorian Arcades.

This arcade is one of several in Leeds. It has many interesting boutique type shops. Wander through its relaxed atmosphere as well as some of the other arcades in town.

I walk through this arcade regularly, and always do a spot of window shopping! Look out for the lovely clock, too. :)

Thornton Arcade lies to the west of the main Victorian quarter arcade area. It is smaller (shorter and narrower) and is home to a range of coffee houses and smaller shops that make good use of the original Victorian space of the three storey units....More
