Still remains my number 1 course to play out of over 300 I have played. Superb condition, some stunning holes, a lovely day also to play and the colours and views are excellent. Not cheap of course, but good value, the staff were as previously...More

It will be no surprise that this course designed by the famous Dr Alister Mackenzie is a true test of the golf game. Great bunkering. Lovely views and tricky greens. Unfortunately it was not in the best condition, even allowing for the unseasonable weather. Great...More

We visited midweek as a fourball as part of a golfing tour of Yorkshire. To be honest, whilst the professional was very approachable, our initial opinion was dented by the clubhouse being largely deserted and the lounges/rooms lacking any real ambience. We sat alone with...More

Thank you Gordon, although I'm sorry we appeared like the Mary Celeste on arrival! We look forward to welcoming you back to Alwoodley.

Thank you for your review. The new terrace installed this year is proving very popular and is ideal for an après golf drink, especially in this lovely weather!

Played here on a special deal for £40.00 The course is superb but rock hard. Bring lots of balls because if you miss a fairway the heather is hungry and swallows your Pro v1 without a thank you. We played on a lovely warm windless...More

Millionaires golf on a Course better than Woodhall Spa. This is a true hidden gem, that were it in the South East would talked about in hushed tones. I cannot wait to play it again. Little Tip - Don't forget to ring your order through...More

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you here again. You are quite right - we are 'tucked away' on the north edge of Leeds, where the variety of good golf courses available nearby makes for an excellent golf tour to this part of...More

My third visit here over the years and the place just gets better. The golf course is excellent, nice walking course, always in excellent condition, a good variety of holes and not very busy, expensive of course as you would expect for excellent quality. Unlike...More

Thank you Steve and each year we hope to progress and improve in all areas at Alwoodley. Last year it was the new bar, this year the terrace, with work also planned for the practice ground and drainage lines. See you next season!

Super nice staff and members with some beautiful holes. Be prepared for a great walk. Typical English course with some rough spots in the fairways and slow greens. Well equipped shop but clubhouse needs a coat of paint and new carpet. Well worth a visit.
