We saw The Master Builder, excellent play, well performed. The playhouse is a nice venue. We ate there, the meal was expensive for what it was and the restaurant was more like a cantee, the service was slow and disorganised although friendly enough. In short,...More

I went to the restaurant for food and it was too expensive for teenagers and young adults. So as a compromise we went to the coffee shop. The staff member behind it was rude and sour faced. She spoke in a harsh tone and when...More

Went to see excellent play The Master Builder. Only down side was very noisy play on in adjacent theatre which we could hear. Also where we were sitting we could hear talking from the control room.

Did the backstage tour at west Yorkshire playhouse and can recommend it. Interesting, informative and friendly, a great way to see behind the scenes

I have read the book and seen the film and enjoyed them but the play was even better. A simple set but so effective and the atmosphere that was created was amazing.

Absolutely stunning performance! If you can go and see it I would suggest you do! Very moving! The theatre itself feels a bit like a university lecture theatre and the chairs are very small and uncomfortable, so keep in mind if you struggle with this,...More

Good performance, but a little disappointed with the set, why not make use of the full stage, or bring the set forward?? Enjoyable, and good that audience participation is brought in for the last 20 mins to recapture the kids attention!!

Hi Pat, All the seats are very good and spacious, I don't you will have a problem whichever seat you choose. Although they usually do say never to choose the first row or two as you crick your next to look at the stage, but... More
