Days Golf

Fantastic course, not a bad hole on the course, greens excellent, everything is done correctly and couldn't find fault with a thing, can't wait to play it in summer.

For anyone wanting to play golf at a really good friendly golf club where you are welcomed with open arms by the members DON'T, whatever you do, go and play at Moortown. I played as a single visitor in January 2017 and everything was fine, the weather, the course and my game (I was 4 under my handicap at the... More

Read all about the history, the GB won the Ryder cup here, the course was the 4th course designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie, the par 3 10th Gibraltar held up as one of the best holes he ever designed. It is a classic, well laid out, interesting, challenging, in places it is just beautiful. It has a reputation for being... More

We visited as a fourball midweek as part of a golfing tour. Without mentioning their competitors overall Moortown was considered the best venue we visited all week. Special mention to the pro shop staff who were very helpful and could not be faulted. A pre-arranged buggy could not be immediately provided due to a mechanical issue but the staff delivered... One of the best conditioned courses I,ve ever played. Immaculate from tee to green. The greens were fantastic with subtle borrows and as true as you can get. The clubhouse reeks of history and serves fantastic food and drinks. A real gem and a must for all competant golfers.

One of the finest inland golf courses and rated on the Top 100 Golf Courses UK. Host to the first Rider Cup played in the British Isles. The course condition is excellent with rippling fairways crisscrossed by streams. The heather and gorse will punish any wayward shots. Fairway bunkers are strategically placed to catch your drives. Greens are true and... More

I played at an invitational at Moortown and wow what a treat. The clubhouse is excellent, with a large lounge overlooking the 18th green and a great panorama over the course. We started out with a brilliant full English breakfast which was very welcome as the course is long ! The course was in brilliant condition, the greens were superb... More

Cracking day at Moortown on Sunday. Made to feel most welcome and got lucky with the weather. All the staff were polite as were the members we met on the course. Food was excellent and the whole package was great value. Golf course was in great condition. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Great greens with well placed bunkers, but a small dislike is the snooty members ( committee ) that sit by the window & make you very uncomfortable !!
