Another visit to this suberbly made over Manor House. A great set of volunteer guides with wonderful furniture allowing for full visitor participation and dressing up as well. It could not be better. Children will love it. Do go.

Visited on way home from a London trip. Very interesting. HOUSE has been refurbished in different styles by the BBC and you can touch all exhibits which makes a nice change from a lot of stuffy manor houses. Guides were very informative. Lovely gardens too....More

No parking is available in the village for tourists, so use the National Trust parking lot - free for members. It is a short walk, about 10 minutes to the manor. Stop at the barn to purchase tickets, which are also free for NT members....More

The manor itself is quite interesting... not mindblowing but okay... however the staff here are so ghastly that I am just glad that being a member of the National Trust we got in Free... I have been gutted if I'd paid for this awful experience....More

It is a wonderful little country home, it is a bit expensive relative to more significant sites, I would still recommend this to anyone who is doing the Avebury Stone Circle.
