My husband and I had visited before but returned to take visitors. The attraction is developing. If in Salisbury it is worth a quick visit. Not all the rooms are yet open but they are working on opening more. It is interesting to see where Edward Heath lived. The photos of him with various dignitaries and prominent people from around... This house is a wonderful place to visit - full of very interesting paintings, sculpture, models, cartoons, photos and a lovely Steinway piano. This house does not feel like a museum, indeed, you almost feel as if Ted's still living there. A good place to visit too if you're a keen sailor, they have the salvaged bow from Ted's Morning... A wonderful insight into the world of perhaps the last 'old school' PM of the 20th century. Full of art work and mementoes of each facet of his life, music, sailing and politics. Probably in that order. And surrounded by a grand two acre garden which runs down to the confluence of the Avon and Nadder rivers. Worth a visit... More

Been waiting a while to get to see this lovely house, eventually got there. Such a wonderful interior with a warm atmosphere of a home, not your everyday one, mind you, but a step up from the semis we all know. You are surrounded my memorabilia from Sir Edward's life which is so full of interesting writings, pictures and artifacts.... More

Beautiful position and atmospheric home of the late Sir Edward Heath. The most helpful and informative guides in an historic house that I have ever encountered. A very enjoyable visit.

You have to visit this house when in Salisbury. I learnt much about Ted Heath from this visit. There is interesting art and great cartoons of his time plus great pics of the many notable people he met. I also loved the garden, wonderful.

Arundells was Sir Edward Heath' home and remains very much as it was when he was there. The volunteers were superb and extremely knowledgeable. The house reflects Sir Edward's many interests, statesman, musician and yachtsman. His notable collection of pictures and gifts from leaders around the world are all on display together with a wonderful collection of cartoons during his... More

Visited Arundells this past weekend - amazing! Super greetings from the staff at the entrance gate and on entering the house itself. The house if full of memorabilia of his life and more especially of his political activities and his sailing. The photographs and the gifts he was given alongside his own purchases brought to life again in a way... More

Had no idea what Arundells was when scanning through things to do in Salisbury. When I passed the house and saw it was Edward Heaths home it was a must do! What a delightful experience and to have a glimpse into his life (even as a labour supporter) was truly magical and I feel privileged. Staff were wonderful and were... More
