My wife and I visited Dorney Court on the 29 May bank holiday. This worked out well because the 13th generation owner James Palmer met us at the door. (Previously we had asked directions from a young woman working in the kitchen, who turned out...More

A family home in the village of Dorney which has restricted opening times but well worth visiting as it has a facinating history and lovely gardens.

I feel that I am the odd one out when I look at the other reviews, but I was very disappointed. Being an HHA property, it is only open on rare occasions, and unlike NT properties often these houses are often still a private home...More

We are very sorry that you felt the house didn't live up to your expectations but it's worth bearing in mind that the whole point of family owned proprieties is that they are living entities hence the eclectic nature of the contents. Dorney Court is...More

A fabulous house steeped in history and easily reached from London. I attended a party here recently - a wonderful setting and the Palmer family will happily provide plenty of information on the house whilst being extremely welcoming. Well worth a visit.
