It's large and full of interesting details. There is lots of carving, both wood and stone especially on memorials. There are useful interpretation notices by many of the more interesting sights. Among the highlights are the tombs of King John and Price Arthur, elder brother of Henry VIII, and first husband of Catherine of Aragon. You can visit the crypt... More

Spent a very interesting hour or two walking round the cathedral. It is very much a working cathedral. While we were there flowers were being arranged, organ practice was going on. There were a couple of school trips taking place. This was a cathedral going around its normal daily business. It is a lovely peaceful place. Lots of signs up... More

Quite inspiring, and for those who wish there is a beautiful prayer room to sit and reflect. There is a newly renovated coffee shop serving lots... More

At the moment there is quiet a bit of restoration going on, and exams at the next door Kings School - the Refectory is an examination venue, so there is a little bit of disruption to the full venue. However, it remains a fascinating and wonderful building / complex full of history and architectural intrigues. Look out for the grave... More

A fascinating hour spent exploring this historic building. Paricularly excited to see the tomb of King John, and to go down into the Norman crypt. The ceiling and glas windows are fabulous. A great experience.

The weather on 1705 was dreadful. We decided to stop at Worcester on our way to Shropshire. Broadway was the first watering hole but the rain did not clear so we moved on to Worcester where the rain was just as bad. we parked near to the cathedral (due to the rain) and then spent a couple of hours inside.... What an amazing cathedral. Grounds are nice and offer a nice river walk when it's a dry day where you can feed the swans.
