Gheluvelt Park is a memorial park built in honour of those lost in the First World War. It straddles Barbourne Brook and has two distinct areas - a formal park to the east, and an informal area managed for wildlife conservation to the west, next to the River Severn.

There's a free car park by the Waterworks Road entrance.

Went to the dog show today. Not as big as I was expecting but a good day out. Even won on the tombola!

Just a small space, well maintained with gardens and paddle pool....probably great for toddlers on a hot summers day. My partner and I waddled round it for 30 mins ...a nice break....no distractions.

Great place for picnic whilst watching younger kids and some bigger ones playing in the splash pad. Playground and ice cream van finished up the day perfectly.

Take a towel and some lunch, kids will have a fabulous time playing in the park and the fountains. Nice way to spend a few hours on a warm day.

Gheluvelt Park is a wonderful leisure park just off the A38 in Worcester. As well as being a beautiful traditional park with bandstand, lake and stream, children's modern play area and fitness trail it is also the home of the memorial to the dead of WW1. i

Great day out, awesome tennis courts, table tennis and basketball court. Nice picnic spots and you get quiet a nice walk if you circle it. Splash pad is noisy avoid that area if you aren't a family.
