Plenty of on street parking nearby, we wandered through the castle for half an hour or so. There doesn't seem to be much info about its history, but its a great spot to explore.

A free walk around the castle ruins, with a lovely view of the coast line.
You can see the prison gates and walk by the walls. Great playpark in the gardens next to it too.

Spent half day exploring Aberystwyth including the castle and harbour. Great that the castle is free to explore and is in better condition than many in England that are under English heritage control. Free 4 hour parking along the prom if you go early. Free toilets in castle

If you like ruins and like to photograph, as we do, this occupies your time for say forty minutes. A nice loo there too. Accessible for mobility scooters if you pick the right paths

Reasonably well looked after. Some more information boards would be good as there isn't much castle left. Fun to explore.

seeing the programme of Micheal Ballls wonderful wales and my son who lives in Aberyswth we came back again to explore the wonderful ruins of the castle. So much history in this place and so many places to sit and while away the time there. A must see place if you are in the area

We came across the castle ruins by accident when walking early evening and I would highly recommend having a wander round at this time as it was quite quiet and made more beautiful by the setting sun. I wouldn’t travel miles to visit but if you’re in the area it’s a lovely little walk or a nice spot fir your fish n chips with a view

Is interesting to visit but there was no signage for history or achetecture. We only spent about 5-10 minutes wondering around. Would do if back in the area but not for very long.

Return trip to Aberystwyth and couldn't resist seeing one of my favourite Castle castles again - this time with the kids.
Lots of areas for the kids to explore, and adults to sit and enjoy the view.
Great views of the beach and ocean.
A truly stunning castle location.

Lovely ruined castle with good views of the town and the bay. Free entry. Children's playground and toilets but be advised that the crazy golf course is now closed.
