After all these years Caernarfon’s immense strength remains undimmed. A brute of a fortress. Caernarfon Castle’s pumped-up appearance is unashamedly muscle-bound and intimidating. Picking a fight with this massive structure would have been a daunting prospect. By throwing his weight around in stone, King Edward I created what is surely one of the most impressive of Wales’s castles. Worthy of World Heritage status no less.

This is the Castle where a Prince of Wales is installed, the last being Prince Charles. It is not a large castle but it is in good condition and worth a visit if you are within about 50 miles of it.

Great little castle tour. The museum was my favorite part as I got to try on period military attire. Great experience! Also had Black Boy Inn for lunch.

Sorry for the late response, there are some interactive games, however this is for school aged kids. There is plenty of space inside the castle for kids to play.
