Caernarvon is a great castle to explore. My family loves it because it is a ruin that you can wander around in. I've been there three times, and each time I learn something new. I prefer this type of castle to a restored castle or...More

A convoluted route following signs to the castle, as you can see the turrets as you appear to drive away from it, but it all makes sense when you arrive to the car park right next to it. Stunning, majestic sight as you arrive and...More

We were visiting my husbands son and his family and on a rainy Saturday afternoon, there was enough to engage 4 adults and two small girls. The Royal Welch Fusiliers museum was interesting to young and old, good displays and dressing up opportunities to keep...More

It was a cold and rainy day in september 2018, but the locals were so warm and friendly and the castle and exhibits very interesting and well signposted. It was expensive but well worth the money. We stayed at least 3 hours! Superb views !

The stature and structure of this castle is in incredibly good condition after 800 years. So much history and stories to wonder at. Lots of info on the site - some was a little dated and could be improved. If you like history or castles...More

As far as I’m aware, it’s only assistance dogs that are allowed on the castle, but best to phone and check.
