After all these years Caernarfon’s immense strength remains undimmed. A brute of a fortress. Caernarfon Castle’s pumped-up appearance is unashamedly muscle-bound and intimidating. Picking a fight with this massive structure would have been a daunting prospect. By throwing his weight around in stone, King Edward I created what is surely one of the most impressive of Wales’s castles. Worthy of World Heritage status no less.

Really nice castle with such a great and romantic history. Really worth a visit I have been here a number of times and still learn new things as well as how nice it is. And also great views.

Lovely day out and nice pubs close by to eat. The walled town is lovely and a wonderful place for kids to visit, with a nice beach close by.

What an awesome castle! Caernarfon Castle is so well preserved that you can imagine what castle life was like centuries ago. The towers are imposing, with steep spiral staircases, but the views at the top are definitely worth the climb! The exhibits are interesting and...More

A wonderful place full of history. The museums/exhibitions are sheer delight. Going up the stone stairs to the turrets is an amazing experience as well as seeing the remains of the living quarters all those centuries ago. World heritage site 100%.

1st things 1st! Allow a good 3-4+ hours for exploring this amazing and spacious castle! We had no idea this castle was utterly breathtaking and I’ll admit there’s an abundance off stairs to climb going up all the 7 towers which gave spectacular views. There’s...More

Caernarvon Castle has more history than just the crowning of the Prince of Wales. The well kept structure holds many memories of ancient times. If only we were young enough to climb up to the ramparts! The Castle is in the centre of the town...More
