On a sunny Saturday, Hubby and I walked along these medieval walls. The circuit is three-quarters of a mile long and there are 6 access/exit points. Beware of the uneven stones. The views are worth the effort. This activity is far better value than the Castle itself.

It is not possible to circumnavigate the town wall which is a shame. Still I would recommend a walk on top of the wall and then descend to walk across Conwy town which is a delight.

It's free to walk on these walls and I would definitely recommend as long as you can manage steps. The walls are in a great condition and give wonderful views of the countryside, the estuary and over the roof tops of Conwy. I thoroughly enjoyed this walk and got some great views of the castle and the Telford Bridge.

Had not heard about these before we came. Familiar with York and Chester, but not a breathe about the walls here. What a gem. Great views outwards and also inwards, behind the scenes view of the town.

Fantastic piece of history that you can get involved with. Walk all around the fortified part of Conwy, imagine what it must have been like to defend this against invaders ..... Ok, so it was built by the English to subjugate the Welsh, but you know what I mean ...... and the kids will love it as long as they... More
