My 10 year old Son was desperate to visit Stone Science, much to his Twin Sisters disgust! Both had a great time watching the video of the history of dinosaurs, and rummaging around in the shop were my Son bought a Bison's jaw dated nearer dinosaur years. He displays it proudly in his bedroom along with other artifacts he has... More

Great opportunity to see some really interesting artefacts. The guy that took us round I think he owns the place did a great job in helping our son learn about the Iron Age for his school project.

It has to be said that this had the potential of an interesting visit but sadly this can only be defined as a hobby expert , compulsive collectors....collection available for view. Perhaps I do not have the interest level to have found this of value. Perhaps if you go with more intrinsic knowledge than we.....it would have been better value.

Having lived on Anglesey all my life I am ashamed to admit I had never been here before, but am so glad I have! My youngest son (9) is taking after his dad showing an interest in rocks, he has built up his own small collection and told someone yesterday he wants to be an archaeologist?! That coupled with the... More

As mentioned by previous reviewers this is not comparable with the museums of London / New York as curated by 100s of people over the the years. This is one family's passion and clear dedication showcased in a self built environment. Probably the best way to explain it is to think of the american roadside museum / side show curios... More

An absolutely fabulous place to visit. Very friendly staff who is very knowledgeable and willing to share. Gave us some good tips on where to go on the island to search for fossils and rocks. We even went back to share our finds and discover if we had found fossils or not.

Being local and having Stone Science almost on my doorstep, I sometimes forget what a really great place this is. The collection of fossils and minerals and rocks is extensive and the owner very knowledgable on the collection. It's an eclectic display and will be enjoyed by anyone with any remote interest in geology or fossils. The shop is a... More

We visited with our 6 year old son after a morning at the sea zoo. The exhibits and specimens are varied and v interesting. The owner showed us round and was really friendly helpful and informative. Clearly a expert and happy to share his knowledge. We all had a really enjoyable few hours.

We visited on Monday 11th April the owners could not have been more helpful. Yes the place is full to the brim with artefacts etc. But he manage to make it so that my son in his electric wheelchair could get round. My 6 year old loved it as he is interested in fossils and dinosaurs. We spent several hours... More
