We fancied a good walk in the forest and we achieved it, At first we followed our noses and stayed on the tarmacked road for a few miles until we encountered a descending motorcyclist who informed us about the lake which lay deep within the...More

We started and finished our walk at Betws-y-Coed, and had a lovely day long walk through the Gwydir Forest. You certainly need an ordnance survey map to do this walk, and it is better if you have a walks leader. There are quite a few...More

Brilliant area for walking and many mountain bike tracks of varying difficulty. Walking tracks have waymarkers so are easy to follow

We (myself, the wife and kids) had a beautiful, if wet, walk around this wonderful forest in Betws-y-Coed. You can see how popular it is by all the friendly walkers you pass by. Recommended.

There's plenty of walks to choose from. I went for the longest - and half way round wished I hadn't! But I completed it in good time. It was descibed as moderate but the initial climb was quite demanding.

I've been holidaying in the local area at this time of year for around 12 years and never had a problem finding Lyn Parc but yesterday was a nightmare. Due to Forestry Works paths were closed off and diversions in place but the signs were...More
