Brief visit

This castle was within the grounds of the hotel we were staying at,The Royal Victoria. We were able to read about the history of it from leaflets in the hotel.

Staying in the nearby Royal Victoria hotel , went for a early morning stroll in the fresh air , spotted the Castle Ruin , well worth a look lots of history. Google it for even more info. Climb the steps inside the castle , don't forget ur camera as the views are stunning .

Well worth a look if you are in the area, especially if you are staying at the Royal Victoria Hotel as it is just next door.

This is the second time this year that we have visited this little castle. It is not too far from the car parks and the views are spectacular. It is also lovely to visit somewhere like this and not even have to pay a penny!

Once you've done the lovely walk up to the top, it's really nice view from the top. The remains of the castle are fantastic too, you can walk up a certain part of the tower, which you can get fantastic views from, even on a cloudy afternoon. Well worth the walk.

After a pleasant walk in town, we arrived to the Castle that is mostly in ruins. Is not very easy to access, at least the route that we follow to get there so I would advice it for people with access difficulties. Once you arrive to the place is really cool, a nice fortification with some kind of magic atmosphere.... More

A pretty ruined castles great views a bit of peace and quiet in a very busy place. It is free entry and not far out of town. Great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Might be a bit slippery in the rain.

This castle is good to visit. It is set in some beautiful surroundings and although it is not a full castle it is still in very good condition. A lovely historic place.

Great visit - the views from the castle are amazing. It has history and worth a visit. The castle is in good condition considering how old it is. I would recommend a visit to everyone.
