Having lived in Wrexham all my life, I have only visited Erddig Hall and Gardens a couple of times - many years ago, I decided to visit for the afternoon. A tour around the house is very interesting and informative - seeing all the servants photos and where they worked i.e. Kitchens, Stables, Laundry Room. Lovely gardens and lots of... More

We visited on what was supposed to be a wet cold and windy day, but it turned out to be a lovely day. We managed to attend the outside guided tour which was very interesting & informative. I think they only have this one tour and an inside house tour once in the morning! Our guide was very informative and... More

I have visited this wonderful National Trust property a couple if times over the last 20 years and I've always enjoyed it: this time being no exception. Fortunate with the weather, this certainly helped my appreciation of the wonderful gardens: being such a big day, I decided not to visit the house on this particular occasion. The restaurant was excellent... More

I went to Erddig for a day out in the sunshine with my 18 month old daughter and we had a fabulous time. The staff were really friendly and helpful, they pointed us in the direction of the bug trail in the garden and the cafe staff brought our lunch to the table so I wasn't juggling the tray and... We visited Erddig on a short stay in Chirk and was surprised to find so much there . All the attendants seemed very knowledgeable about the place and were keen to answer any questions you had . It was nice to see school children dressing the part and being shown the ways of the day . We had a great... More

We were very impressed by the gardens, the tour of the house and the quality with of the food in the restaurant. It is a pleasure to be a member of the National Trust.

We last visited Erddig five years ago....National Trust still....nice food..we had Lamb Cawl and bread... sunny day...we took advantage of a pre-tour of the "downstairs " where the servants lived and worked....all the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable....there were two donkeys in the stable....you can take photos inside the house but without the flash....this is a different type of... My partner and I visited in April 2017, with Erddig being the first National Trust property we visited in Wales. Although finding this property wasn't the easiest, with the satnav making a few wrong turns, upon arrival car parking was very easy, though we did visit on a weekday when it would be understandably far less busy. The courtyard and... More
