Oldest Inn in Wales, allegedly...

Meant to be haunted and certainly had a feel about it. The landlady very kindly allowed us to have a look around as there were no residents at the time.

What a pub!! You walk in and you will be greeted with a geniue smile and you will get first class service. Book a pub table at the fire - absolutely brilliant. Nothing fancy or over the top just honest good service and the food awesome. I like, always did the Ribs with chips and the Mrs did the Lasagne... More

Allegedly the oldest and most haunted inn in Wales.Fortunately does not look its age! Excellent service by a very young lady, and good pub food at reasonable prices.

We went here for lunch. Couldn't not go to the oldest pub in Wales when we were right beside it. Menu is fine with a couple of veggie options. We had sausage and mash and the veggie lasagne. Both were tasty. Nice beer garden out the back where you can go with your dog. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices... More

We parked up in the carpark, and sat outside the bar area. It is haunted, and that's why we went, I run a paranormal group. But, it was closed when we went, so all we could do was sit outside. We could feel the hauntings from there. So we sat outside for a while and took in the energy, Can't... More

Near Abergavenny, this is a family friendly pub that is a great meeting place for friends and family. A little noisy on the bank holiday Sunday evening that we visited, so not so good for trying to hear your friends talk, but the staff were really friendly and the food was varied and well presented.

My friend and I were recommended the Skirrid Inn because we both love ghost stories, so we stopped in for a few drinks and a meal. My fish and chips were delicious, and the bar staff were very attentive. Ben, the grandson of the owners I thjnk, was very friendly and took the time to show us around the building... More
