Went here on Saturday as it was a lovely autumn day and great for a walk. The beauty of this place is a) free & convenient parking b) toilets c) lake walk with bird hide d) access to beach and coastal path. Big downer though is that there's no refreshments - if there was a cafe here it would be... More

Go here all the time. it's a great place to wander and a real hit with dog walkers. You can walk to the coast and depending on how far you want to go you can plan your route. Couple of great bird watching hides. There are rare orchids on the dunes but they are protected. Loads of wildlife to view

The city of Kenfig was covered by the sand a few centuries ago. Yet it was the largest city in Wales at the time. The reserve is a real treat to discover flora and fauna, often exotic in nature.

Lovely area to walk the dogs and let the children run around for an hour. The walk to the beach is longer than I remembered and the children (3 & 5) were worn out on the way back. Could do with more dog bins though as there is dog mess everywhere which is a shame.

I travelled here with my wife with a view to taking some wildlife photos. Unfortunately we were very badly disappointed in that there were no directions to anything from the car park. i very much doubt if i will ever consider going there again

Beautiful spot but totally spoilt by the amount of dog mess left by dog owners, I have a dog and pick up his mess but I was taken aback by the amount of dog mess left , awfull if visiting with children

Lots of sandy dunes and thicket. Very long walk from car park to the beach. Can't say I saw much wildlife which was disappointing. Obviously a popular place for surfers as there were plenty of them walking to and from the beach.

Great for a winter walk. If starting at Rest Bay it's about 8 miles including a circuit of Kenfig. Very uplifting.

We enjoyed walking through the Kenfig Nature reserve, the water half way through is so beautiful in the sun. We walked 45 minutes all the way to the beach, enjoyed a paddle, even though in places the sea is polluted from the nearby steel works. The beach was long and very quiet. Good for the adventurous.

We parked just off the road between Cornell and kenfig pool and walked out of the sand dunes towards the edge of Tata steel works tip and onto Morfa beach along the beach up onto Sker rocks then past Sker house over the golf course to the nature reserve and back alone road to the car, and calling for a...
