Good place, plenty to keep the kids occupied and lots of fun exhibits for everyone. A few of the exhibits didn't work, but that didn't detract from the enjoyment. The café was rather small (three adults and three children pretty much took over the place).

25 quid for 2 adults and a 3 year old. Rip off! Don't bother taking a kid under 6 they won't have a clue what is going on. I had no clue what most of the exhibits (or what ever they were) were trying to show you other than if you push something it moves something else. If you take... More

suitable for children of all ages they are very safe ,we have been many times with the grandchildren ( I usually take a newspaper ) you are free to wander in and out . It is much cheaper to take out an annual subscription. A major asset for Cardiff

Called here with Grandchildren - It's a hands on Science / Physics experience aimed at young minds. With enough to keep the minds of those of us who are far older occupied as well. Not a bad café as a bonus as well. In Cardiff looking for some undercover entertainment for the young ones; definitely give it a go. There's... More

I visited techniques to with my daughter and two grandchildren age 8 and 18 months, in the school holidays. We parked in the multi storey car park opposite. The entry price was very reasonable, about seven pounds for adults and six pounds for children, we didn't pay for any xtra shows. You are given bands to wear, with allows you... More

Visited with my 9 year old grandson who became bored quite quickly .... Not a lot has changed over the years, its interesting but not exciting! Quite pricey for what is on offer but everyone to their own I suppose. Cafe area is small and the usual "tourist expensive" and the late coffee us awful (tasteless and anaemic) .... There... More

My 2 love it here. Always so much to explore and discover. This is by far our favourite day out. The cafes good but basic and as with most places the shop is a bit over priced but my 2 love to explore all the experiments and the water bit it great fun.

Lots of thinks to do and very fun and educational for children, but I feel like it could be modernised slight. Most of the experiments have been there since the place opened, and it's been around for a while. Definitely fun, though. And I'm 23.

Techniques is a superb place to take children up to about ten or eleven in our experience. As well as all the hands-on exhibits, the show in the science theatre, a session in the wonderful little planetarium and a trip to the cafe and shop make this a really excellent day out. We have also had birthday parties here which... More
