Norwegian Church

Stopped for coffee after going to the Millennium Centre. Roald Dahl themed exhibition upstairs which was worth a few minutes viewing too.

The location has great views over the harbour with the Senedd and Pierhead across the water. The building is an old church, now an art Center and a coffee shop. The interior is rather disappointing given this used to be an old church. It has the look and feel of a canteen where I was expecting worn out wooden floors... More

A very interesting and quirky little place that was popular and packed to the rafters the day we went and had afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and they were under the pump,

The historic church and position by the Bay is impeccable. The food choice was average, and the service not especially friendly or efficient. But there is a nice little gallery attached so worth going for a brief coffee and sandwich.

I was a little bit let down by this place. I expected that it would have something to Norwegian culture. Unfortunately, there was nothing of sorts let alone the flag. It is basically a restaurant with artwork in it.

Lovely little church with a cafe over looking the harbour. There was a craft fair on the weekend we visited, but I think is crafts there at all times.

The view from here across the bay is quite nice and the building has an interesting back-story. It also has a decent cafe and oft-changing exhibits to peruse.

Had a meeting with colleagues in Cardiff Bay and went to the Norwegian Church for lunch. The church is very historic, and celebrates it connection with Roald Dahl. We ordered a selection of sandwiches and soups, all were delicious and the staff were all very friendly. Can imagine this can get very busy. Great place to stop whilst visiting Cardiff

Given it's historic nature, surprised the Norwegian Church Arts Centre was not busier - in fact we were the only ones admiring the work on display in the church hall. The centre is located in a strategic location in Cardiff Bay, and it presents a great deal of early history about the church and the surrounding area. Well worth a... More
