Roof repairs currently underway so house was very dark. Good guides throughout . An interesting visit but will be better when renovations are completed.

Visited Tredegar house on St Davids day, had visited the grounds many times but this was my first time on a tour of the house. Very informative guides in every room giving the family history, really interesting, although I'm local to the area there was still plenty to learn. The house itself is undergoing major roof repairs and is covered... More

Lovely place. Still under wraps but can't wait to go again. Interesting house and grounds. Very friendly staff. If you have children go there. If you have a dog go there. If you have neither go there. We enjoyed dressing up and putting on a mini show with the shadow theater. Lovely grounds for walks. It can only get better!

As someone who remembers this house as a run down old house many years ago I am very impressed how it has been transformed. The National Trust has restored the house and grounds sympathetically and it now invokes the feelings of the various periods the house has gone through. The gardens are vey impressive as well

I loved this place so much I got married here in 2006! I love coming here with my family. Its worth getting national trust membership. Its a lovely place for a picnic or it has a great cafe with really yummy cakes, sandwiches and little lunch packs for children. The staff are always friendly and the house never gets boring.... Been a number of times over the years but the kids particularly love the Easter Egg Hunt! Some very interesting facts surround the history of the place and there are rooms that are opened on a rotating schedule so that you can usually see a different part at different times throughout the year.
