Stayed on a couple's night away. We regularly have a little downtime in spa hotels. Did not like this at all. The appearance is more of my local leisure centre than of a 5* hotel. Not enough seating Need coins for the lockers. I expect on a romantic break to be able to share the jacuzzi bath and steam room... More

After a lovely golf break staying in a Hunter Lodge which I highly recommend was looking forward to a nice spa experience. Very dissapointed! Reception & staff disorganised and busy. Kept waiting by therapist and treatment not professional. Had a signature massage but left feeling like a greasy chip! Treatment finished early, so only had 40min of 60 min treatment... More

Certainly not 5star. My daughter treated me to a spa day and i imagined the facilities would be fantastic. What a disappointment. Arrived at the hotel and followed parking signs up a steep hill no further signs, and no car park, decided to turn around and followed signs at the bottom down a hill still no sign of a car... More

Paid for a full Spa for me and my sister who was celebrating her 50th birthday. Paid over £300 for treatments, lunch and manicure. The whole experience was like being on a conveyor belt, the reception area was busy and noisy with far to much going on. We had our treatments and had to ask for our robes. We then... More

We booked a spa day to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. During the booking process we were asked if it was a special occasion and we said yes, and told them why. They said that the Spa would definitely do something to honor this - it wasn't mentioned at all. The girl who booked us in was very robotic, as... More

I'm a proud Brit. But if all this Gym is left with to staff it are the Brits they presently employ when the Brexit curtain comes down, it's doomed. The staff whose accents say they are from continental Europe are invariably attentive and committed. The Brits are not...based on the slack carelessness of the people who man the Gym's front... The relaxation area was in the reception which meant it was very busy andwhilst quiet at times wasn't dark or cosy or relaxing at all. The changing rooms and pool were very busy which made it difficult to manoeuvre and lunch just seemed cobbled together. It was not like any other experience I have had at other places and I... More

Visited here on 10/02 with a friend for a birthday treat. We paid for a treatment prior to the day, then paid to use the facilities on the day at £15 per head - not a bad price at all! Our treatment was amazing. The Herbal Steam Room Temple - a self treatment where you're in a steam room, you... More

We were actually in the Ocius Spa which is part of the Golf and Fitness Club as opposed to the Forum Spa which is in the main hotel. Although not as big as the Forum Spa, it was definitely quieter. The pool, steam, Jacuzzi facilities are the best I have seen and the staff were lovely and helpful. One major... More

To be honest it was rather busy when we got there but it was peak time, only used the pool facilities and sauna. It was amazing, being a hard working professional it was nice to actually relax, my boyfriend's treat for my birthday. Had a lovely swim and chilled in the jacuzzi before using the sauna and before leaving the... More
