Another fab dog walk

Quiet weekday evening up here walking the dog, lovely views, flat walk and parking nearby. So lucky to have such a treat nearby.

The Castle is located on the top of the hill and you won’t miss it if you are heading to Three Cliffs Bay. May be it was the weather but I wasn’t impressed with it. It’s not really been looked after and more attention should be paid to it.

There isn't much left! It's a ruin and that's about it. There is no information about the history or anything at the site so you are left to imagine! The view down into the bay is amazing but you can say that about the whole coastline down here!

Google Maps took us to some small residential - full of potholes - road. We couldn't see a castle anywhere. We parked where Google said, and went for a stroll. We ended up on the gold course, and finally saw some ruins further down. We went there, and wow, what a scenary. Definitely worth it. The view is phenomenal, and... More

Great walking area with great views of three cliffs and an impressive beach area. Walkways being improved for better access.

Not much of the castle remains but the views from there are stunning. The castle is easily accessed from the village of Parkmill, and makes a great stopping point as part of a walk on Three Cliffs Bay, which is one of the most scenic bays in Gower.

For some reason I am drawn to Pennard Castle every time we are in the Gower, there is a magical feeling about it and the views down across the bay are breathtaking, easy access across the common and golf course with clearly marked paths using white painted stones as guides, best parking is in the street just after the school... It has history, mystery and stunning views....what more do you need from the top of 3 cliffs bay. It has walks and a nearby golf course. The sand that sent over by Irish leprechauns after a mistaken identity resulted in a battle with the local Baron.....truth or fiction?

The castle itself is a bit disappointing but then it is old. Walk to it and you are surrounded with views of cliffs, sea and grassland. Pennard golf course touches the castle of offers a easier access across the land. Three Cliffs bay is just below. Pennard cliffs worth a look and a good vantage point for unbelievable views.

One of my favourite places as I was brought up near here and visited frequently going to a Pennard school, walk across Pennard links to Carole is lovely and the view to greet you is second to none!! Three Cliffs Bay in all its glory with the meandering river and sea with stepping stones up to Penmaen . When the... More
