One of the best things in this museum is the mouse trail. I always look forward to doing it every time I visit. There's also an excellent WWI exhibition on at the moment. The reconstructions were really fascinating, and it's great that you can go in them, and interact with them too.

I enjoyed this museum as it was free and there were lots of interesting things in it and I would visit again when I am in the area next.

What's up tripadvisors. Unlike some of my other reviews I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. Excellent museum and in my eyes a much much better museum than the waterfront museum behind (even though it has a fraction of the size and budget). You could get lost for hours examining the relics and true pieces of history captured... More

An impressive display of the Great War and a good insight as to how it affected families in Wales. Lots of other interesting displays in different rooms and floors.

Great War was well documented. It relates to citizens of the area. Other exhibits were of interest. Much local history. Just not my cup of tea, sorry. Looks like this musuem could use a major donor to get things moving. Admission is free.

worth a visit, especially if you're interested in local history. An excellent display room of Swansea China, which is remarkably varied, and often a well curated 'special' exhibition about relevant local history. The museum is struggling for funds (from the Local Authority) and needs support

Visited on a rainy day with my friend on holiday over from Brisbane. Very interesting and loved seeing the Egyptian mummy. This was the highlight for me. One gallery was being refurbished so it took us roughly an hour to go around and I am on crutches. Considering the age of the building, the disabled access is good. Easier access... More

Very interesting exhibition on the Great War's impact on Swansea. Was pleased to see it didn't just cover the brave men who laid down their lives for us but also featured conscientious objectors and the important role played by women. The Egyptian Mummy and the X-Ray of it were good as was the embroidery exhibition. Will spend more time there... More
