Essential visit on tour along with Shankill to show both sides of our communities although the "troubles" went beyond both Shankill and Falls but everyone assumes it all happened here,

We took a guided tour during a visit to Belfast. The Falls Road is perhaps one of the most recognisable symbols locations of the troubles which are documented through the murals and memorials at almost every step. It is hard to put things into perspective...More

Wide array of murals on gable walls and elsewhere. Many commentate the hunger strikers, and others have a decidedly paramilitary slant. However, there are many which depict Irish culture or past status and beliefs in society, and past struggles for civil rights. No hint of...More

For the best experience, take a Belfast Mural Experience black cab tour. The drivers share thier first hand knowledge of the "toubles" and really bring the history of Belfast to life.

Beware of street robbers. Several incidents lately with tourists being robbed here. See local media for details.

Seeing this road as part of the sight-seeing tour bus trip has put these locations into perspective. The artwork is amazing and they are all very meaningful. It is all a must see experience.

I got one of the city sightseeing buses - £10 and you can hop on and off for 72 hours. It's not that far to walk from city centre either.
