When booking this we checked out the menu in advance. As it turned out there was no point as most of it was totally different! The starter was advertised as smoked salmon, and the vegetarian option mushroom tartlet (I'm veggie). Both turned out to be...More

We went up here around 6:30 pm to at least see the grounds and park. Delighted to find that we could roam the castle itself. However if there is a group meeting there, what you see could be limited. The view of Belfast is beautiful...More

I wasn’t able to tour as much of this castle as I would have liked. We did have a tea and coffee and walked the grounds for a bit.

Visited with friends. It was a glorious day and that no doubt made a big difference. Beautiful structure. Very well maintained gardens. Excellent views. Shame we had very little time for a hike.

Read about the white castle cat and then go for a hike. 3 wonderful trails, though walking alone, never was scared, lots of people going either way. Families, dogs, visit the caves, great vistas, too.

Such a wonderful view from Belfast Castle! There is also a great park for kids not far from here with loads to do and a snack stand! A great day out for the kids. You can also go walking around the grounds

We went on a nostalgic trip to the castle which was such a big part of my childhood. The trees we used to climb had gone but the gardens are lovely and you can have a cup of tea or something more substantial in the...More

Not a whole lot to visit, as the castle is currently used as an event/ conference/ wedding venue, so not a huge amount of historical value on the inside. However, it is a picture perfect backdrop on a sunny day - the garden is nice...More

Belfast castle is not the historical one that was built in XII century, because it was burnt in XVIII century. The one in the northern part of Belfast can be reached by bus number 1a from the city center. It can be also reached on...More

Hello! Yes it is! In fact, the view in the evening of the city is so much better! However when we were there in the winter, the backyard/garden wasn’t lit, so it was difficult to see. Maybe they have them lit around... More

the castle and grounds are free but the castle is limited to bar and restaurant. There is a small shop with unusual gifts. The view from top is amazing
