Easy to get to by public transportation and well worth it. The walk is easy if you are reasonably fit, and there is a circular route to take. Wear sturdy shoes and give yourself time. The weather changed on us, and we were all glad to have extra waterproof clothing in our bags!

Starting at the castle, walk up the signposted pathway. To be honest, it's a bit of a hoof to get there but on a nice day it'll be worth it. There's another way to the top if you Google it. Drive your car in from the other side and walk. Might try that the next time.

A pleasant walk for the semi-fit with great views from the summit - tracks can be a little tricky so come prepared. Rewarded by coffee and cake afterwards in the Castle.

Visited in March was a bit wet underfoot the views brilliant over Belfast. Not suitable for disabled. Dog walkers love it. In summer it would be spectacular.

I walked up the cave hill today for the first time ever such a great walk with stunning views over our beautiful city! Took me 1hr 12 minutes to get to napoleons nose. This is a must and should be on everyone "to do list" I am going to make this my new weekly walk. 👟⛰👌🏼

The Cave Hill Country Park has something for all kinds of walker and runner. There are great paths that lead from the Antrim Road, the Belfast Castle and the Upper Hightown Road. The more challenging walks start lower down but the views that you'll be rewarded with are well worth the effort. On a clear day you can see for... More

We took two kids aged 9 and 7 on the red trail with walking boots, starting out at Belfast Castle's car park. A great walk for all and the route to the summit really got our blood pumping. We were rewarded with stunning views of Belfast and Belfast Lough. We did the walk over a few hours and found the... More

What view one gets from here over Belfast, Hollywood, Carrickfergus & more. Steep climb from Hightown Road Belfast castle or Belfast zoo. Great day for those fit from kids to adults.
