Large space, beautiful and peaceful

Lovely park, huge, for family walks, and running if you're that way inclined. Beautiful trees and friendly folk.

Decided to walk around this rather large park and was very disappointed. Gone are the flower beds, lovely band stand, cricket pitch and all that reminded me of my childhood here. Just a dull drab waste of space really. Hundreds of trees planted and virtually turned into a forest rather than a park. Very eerie and not the sort of... More

Having grown up in this area of Belfast I have so many happy childhood memories of Ormeau Park. It is a lovely place to go for walks or spending some quiet reflecting time just enjoying the greenery, flowers and wildlife. I remember my father telling me that it was the first public park to be opened in Belfast. This is... More

It is a public park, not a very big one at that - there is a band stand, a few paths, often covered in dog crap and there is public toilets and a lot of cyclists. Belfast cyclists particularly in public parks are arrogant, so there is no hope of a peaceful and relaxing walk in the open air. It... More

We walked through the park a couple of times to get to the university. It was a nice walk besides a golf course, but nothing special.

Well, read somewhere that this isn't the safest Place in town and lots have occured there, but myself I felt very safe running through the park several mornings. The area is quite big and there's lots of potential to make it even better than it's now. There are several paths going around the park and it's worth trying out different... More

Ormeau park is located just outside the city centre! It has plenty of good walks to do, and also has tennis courts, football pitch and also indoor facilities!

I have been to a few events being held in the park. It is a very large area and I haven't explored it all. There are lots of hidden bells and structures to see on your walk around. Very quiet for walking through. There is a play area for children and outdoor gym equipment.
