Nice park to go for a short circular walk

Great walk and play area. Shame people allow dogs in the play area, even though there are signs up forbidding it.

During a trip in 2005 my brother and I came upon this park quite by accident. We decided to walk the grounds and we are so glad that we did. The rose gardens were stunning and made for some beautiful photo ops.

The gardens are fab! The park is ok, its not great for younger kids but great for older kids, could also do with being gritted in winter, was there on Tuesday and its very slippery! :)

Japanese garden has it character despite that it was not maintain properly for years.?Do not expect anything more than relaxed walk. The trail around the park takes 1.5 miles, enough for 30 minutes walk. Then you can have a tea or... More

Beautiful park for a walk with the dogs or stroll around to catch some sunshine. The formal areas - Japanese and rose gardens are excellent, very well maintained. For a dog walk, escape to the far end and enjoy the fields and woodland. Brilliant park, would love to see the house brought back into use.
